problem
America wastes 133 billion pounds of food each year.
That’s $160 billion worth of food.
A contributing factor to that grand total is America’s
obsession with buying in bulk and large portion sizes,
according to United States Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research.
solution
Divi
is an online and in store service by WholeFoods
that allows shoppers
to purchase perishable food items in smaller portions,
to reduce food waste and save money.
